Loving the throwback

Thanks. I just stacked them and they stayed lol. I see you got the 1000. How do you like it?
Quick suggestion, if you have 200$ get yourself a desk from here. http://rexwo.com/?qTPch
that way you can have your monitors at ear level.

So on top of that. I'm a freshmen in college just home for the break. Dorms this year so new furniture is out of the question but apartment next year. Believe me, it all makes me crazy.

I love the 1000. Working my way up the JJ software levels but totally upgraded with 150gb hard drive and memory upgrade makes it a monster! Huge fan. Definitely recommend a used 1000 any day.

Anywho, I found my camera and got a picture of my setup. Bad picture and nothing special. Still trying to work some keyboards and midi gear in but as of now, my home setup:

How you like the Presonus FaderPort? I like your version of the Auralex MoPad's too :)

Thanks much

The faderport is nice. If your working with pro tools it saves a lot of time and hassle. I like not having to play around with my keyboard and mouse to switch between windows and transports and everything plus its a dream when your recording yourself. You can have it sitting right in front of you so punching in and out is simple. The motorized fader is convenient but I use is less than the other features. Surprising I guess but a nice tool to have.

Oh I see. But how about the fact that it has one Fader and Knob. Do you ever come to a point where you want more faders when mixing, or is one enough, because you go through each channel 1 by 1?

Wow, Diamond had a Topaz. I remember seeing pictures of Dilla's basement and he had a Soundtracs Topaz, too. I'm looking into getting a Solo Logic 32, myself. I haven't seen those Opcode midi joints in a few years, either.

It can be a bit of a hassle but once you get in the swing of things it makes everything more fluid. I use the fader and knob less than I had anticipated but all in all, pretty nice. If you can, go for one but maybe not a huge priority.

These 3 are deadly together.

Now if i had a s950 i would be set.

A MPC 60 or 3000 would be nice too.

Did a Beat Society Show with Diamond D in Austin back in 2006 , felt honored when he actually did dig through my crates... I have a few pics of him using my gear for the show..

Those three pieces are indeed deadly! It's all I use, and all I need I guess. Have messed with the 950, did not add anything particular to the setup. No need for it IMO. Maybe if the SP1200 was all you had.
