JJchop v1.1

you are very kindly with me,
the JJCHop is little utility for used within the wav non destructive chop.
I like that this quite clean and clear on my hard disk, the fomat wav NDC is more cleaner that to have hundreds of wav slices in my hard disk. And the slices can be modified later on wav NDC.

I'll buy it that moment there's a way to export chops as individual Wav-Files

Hi angel,

I have some questions about JJchop:

First, the whole point of the non-destructive chopping on JJ OS for me, is to be able to have overlapping chops (and also to be able to change start/end point of chops while I'm sequencing). Is it possible to make overlapping chops in JJchop? Or is it more like regular beatslicing like recycle, etc.?

Second, I'm a little confused about how it actually works... Can I load any wav file and create chops/slices with the mouse? Or do I have to have a MIDI file to go along with the wav file, in order to tell JJchop where to create the slices?

if you load a wav non-destructive from your mpc, then you can save a midi file with the slices. Overlapping chops is possible.
if you load a regular wav, before you must use the recicle to extract the slices to a midi file. Not overlapping chops.

chops/slices with the mouse is not implemented. It will be added in the future.
now only is possible from Recycle (midi file export), and then you can save a wav with non-destructive chops.

Hey! I there a MAC version yet? Or will there be in the future?
I would def buy this I it was ported to a MAC platform!

i'm coding it in java, Probably in 6 months support MAC.

I hope so, but I'm very busy between my work and my studies, and unfortunately do not have all the time that development needs.

hey would there be any way to incorporate patch phrase into this too?

Im interested in converting my own patterns into patch phrases (rather than existing loops - PP doesnt really suit my needs for that,cause it sounds too choppy)... but itd be awesome if you could add a midi file to a wav and it generates a patch phrase.

I would support the patch phrases, but unfortunately, information about the format is unknown.
but JJchop extracted a midi file from a wav with non destructive chop format.
