I'm wanting to get an audio interface and a controller like the mackie Control. Thing is I need quite a few analogue inputs - around 16.

I've been looking at the MOTU 24i/o but there aren't any MOTU agents in South Africa. Can you guys tell me of any other I/O optins?

You can always get two of the MOTU's and sync them up to record simultaneously. That would give you 16. What kinda music do you do? Is it all live instrument?

By the way, I was talking about syncing up two Motu 828s.

I' record electronica an hip hop...all electronic- digital and analogue...but i hate having to play with wires all the damn time...

I suppose i could live with like 10 analogue ins...

But are there any other reasonable options besides motu...what about the Delta 1010?

The motu 828 has 8 analog in puts 2 for mics but i also has 8 adat inputs all you need to do is get A/d converter and that will give you a total of 16 plus 2 mic inputs inputs. Im planing to do this myself reall soon.

I myself have been told to look at Behringer ADA8000 Ultra Gain PRO ADA Converter (8 Channels). I also read the sound on sound magazine review of it and they like it. The price is pretty nice too.
