When your mpc eventually **** up for no reason and looses connection to ak.sys do you get a fatal error message on the mpc LCD or do you just lose the connection?

Dzoo, what's your platform...

Intel, AMD, Mac?

Not sure I know what you mean. . .
I use windows vista but i don't think that answers it. I don't mess with computers when it comes to making music and only just DL'd ak.sys the other day.

Aww come on Dzoo, this is your golden opportunity to dig into this stuff man. Why don't you take the time to learn more of the computer end of things since that's what we're dealing with now.

From what I gathered from hearing of others experiences, it sounds like you may be experiencing an incompatibility issue with vista and the (motherboard) chipset or something.

Though this may seem a little far fetched to you, it's something that's very well overlooked and categorized as unimportant if DAW usage isn't your game.

To confirm this, load ak.sys on another computer (preferably without vista) and see if you get the same results.

Yeah i've been meaning to learn Ableton Live aswell and see what that has to offer but really i like working on the mpc because it doesnt feel like work. It's just playing around sampling records and seeing what the outcome is.
