Doesn't have to be all in one but ion gave you a simpler solution, run with it
and stop being easily confused big dog. Sh1ts annoying. lmao.

im confused about how its simpler to spend 200 bucks when i already have an audio interface and also what does that expression mean, "run with it"? am i the big dog? is that why i'm running?

sorry boy i am all for helping as i learned the basics through the net aswell but if you want it the truth "in your face"

get your prob to any Recording forum (there are dozens) and ask your Q`s there as you are spamming the

E.N.S.O.I.Q A.S.R.1.0

thread since 4 pages with general basic ausio and midi questions....

or you could make/ or have made an extra thread in this Forum section asking for help on these basics.... but common... this

is offtopic madness

ok my first "WTF am i supposed to do now" moments with the ASR 10

1) the pre owner included a Boot disk with a few Instruments on it.... so i loaded messed around (was happy to hear how much the sonics change due to the Volume slider) and came to this Bass patch wich has an anoying "CLICK" at the end....

so logically i went to the Edit and tried to shorten the end point of the sample (set to 99) but i cant do it... it doesnt let me change it and tells me something like "i am not allowed to layer" ?????? uhm :?:

2) wanted to look at the effect structure... but there is only some Text and no effects ... dont know why... did they come as standad or as additional option?

 Lamp, I guess for some these are the perils of not knowing the ins and outs of what he/she wants or is looking for.

In most cases, folks educate themselves first then test their knowledge here and/or in the studio.

1) Interesting - you may want to try and edit the WAVESAMPLE as I'd say this is the basic building block of the ASR-10. Never mind the sample start and sample end parameters, can you edit the loop start and loop end parameters ?

2) As far as my understanding goes - each ASR-10 instrument is saved with an effect. However it looks like in this case the effect is pretty empty - was this a home-made instrument ?

Can I ask that we try and bring this back to ASR-10 related stuff and not some dude struggling with midi/colloquial language.

Im starting to think the only reason you're holding on to that mpc 500 is to stop someone from hitting you with it...

...hard...

No worries - only playing with you :)). Its a real shame the 'official' ASR-10 forum isn't very good. In a perfect world we'd have an asr-10 section in this forum but that would be asking for a lot.
Ok - definitely check out the ASR-10 videos around, theyre presented by Rick Parnell I think - they're very '80's' but very good. I believe they're up on You Tube. Also try and get a copy of 'Sample Magic'.
Finally - read the manual - loads of times - its well worth it.

nope.. same for loop start/end

Lamp says its most likley because i dont have the correct WS and LYR selected.... but i can find any window where i would select those... i tried it all Edit Wave / Edit Layer / Edit effects... browsing through those windows with the cursor....
