Just got a 128 mb ram upgrade off ebay. I've since learned i need to reformat the drive to allow me to save onto it. Here's the problem when I enter save/load mode i only have the option to format the "memory card" (my 1 gb cff card) not the "internal" which i assume now counts as the new memory i installed. I switch it to "internal", hit window, it brings up a "Property" window which reads...

Device: (blank)
Free: 0.0MB

It has no format option, only an option to close the window. What in the hell is going on, or am I missing something, ive looked at other posts, read the jjos manual; They all seem to tell me to do what im doing.

RAM and a hard disk are two very different things. RAM can't be formatted as nothing is permanently stored there, it clears iteself when the power is cut.

Think of your MPC as a computer, you don't go saving your files to RAM do you? You save your files to the hard disk, then you load them into the RAM when you like to use / work on them.

Basic stuff really, but something that seems to get mixed up alot among users.
