USB function without PADs

Is there any shortcut to the USB function without using the PAD ? I want to update OS to see if it fix my PAD problem, because all my PAD´s are dead, and I can´t even go to LOAD to go to the USB function and put the OS on my CF card. I was wondering if there´s any other way to do it.

did you try removing the faceplate then the pads and re-installing them etc?

Yes I tried this. I even disconnected the sensors plug and reconnected. Is very strange because I have this MPC for about 6 months and I was not hitting it hard... I often was using it with no velocity in full level... can´t understand how this could happen. I know people who have 2000xl for years, hitting the pads hardly, without a problem with them.

I just bought a card reader for my PC so I´ll put the OS in the CF card and try to update. Let´s see what happens.

Well I did the update and shit but the PADs is still all dead. I´m getting nervous. I´ll try to replace the PAD and the Sensors. I hope it solves the problem. Well if anyone can recommend me a place to buy this I´ll appreciate it.

I´m afraid of the problem being that little card where the pad sensors is wired on. I didn´t seen it to sell. This one in the picture (although this picture is the mpc1000 one)
