memory issue in my 2000

my mpc 2000 isnt reading my memory i have a few memory sticks and no matter which ones i use the mpc is only giving me 21.9 sampling time..... any one else have this problem?? or is my mpc just shot??

Sampling capacity ......................... 2MB standard (21.9 seconds mono or 10.9 seconds
stereo), expandable to 32MB.

Maybe you are not seating the ram correctly. Maybe the RAM sticks are bad.

Maybe one of your legs is longer than the other.
