I've been around the block a few times and I've never heard that word "sqiz".
I'd guess it was sexually related just from the sound of it. Aaaaahahhhahahhaa

ie "I sqizzed in her eye last night, it was vaaaannnnn glorious!!!!!".

May be Vista with file permissions.
Do you have a Compact Flash slot in your/another pc?
Plug the card into a pc , do a direct file copy , then plug the CF card back into the MPC.

PG. 7 :
"...16-bit samples at any sample rate. - Samples can be either Mono or stereo."

I suggest 16 bit @ 44.1KHz, either stereo or converted to mono to save memory space.
You could also go down to 22 or 11 KHz as long as its 16 bit.
