Reviews and questions about the entry-level MPC500

Hi all.
Really sorry if this seems very easy stuff but i've been reading through manuals etc and cant find the answer i need!...

Im a reasonably new user of the mpc but have figured out most of the basics and now want to use it live! I current carry around a various synths and keyboards to gigs and it would make much more sense to have all my different parts saved on the mpc. So... Iv successfully managed to record all my different synth and piano notes and save them to my 2gb SD card in different files (a different file for each song).

When i then assign all the samples from my 'SONG 1' folder to the pads it works great, however as soon as i try and replace that program/samples with the 'SONG 2' folder it says insufficient memory!?

I only need one folder open at a time so why wont it just save over the SONG 1 data?
Am i doing something wrong or is the only way of solving this to get more RAM?

Any help would be much appreciated. Im a bit of a novice and would love to start using it live as soon as possible! thanks everyone.

Rob
