Hey, if you sell beats online, or offer any music production, recording , mixing, mastering oriented services this thread is written for you and your biz. and will show you why posting useful informative threads that help users as well as by answering questions that get ignored by other users will benefit the forum knowledge base as well as your biz's search engine rankings.

http://www.mpc-forums.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=123641

The above linked thread explains about the yahoo/google search engine bots that crawl and index the threads in the forum which results in the information as well as the thread poster ending up in the top 10 of the search engine results of the discussed topics.

The importance of the forum signature and your site links are also discussed as it applies to generating higher search engine ranking with every thread posted and/or forum question answered relevant to your biz services, products and/or potential client interests as well as how posting info rich content equally benefits the actual forum
and members or visiters that are asking the questions or reading and learning from the posted threads.

A direct search engine result from posting here on the very well bot crawler/indexed mpc forums can be seen below
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=123634 this hip hop vocal recording thread posted within a week ago along with a matching downloadable pdf of the guide as well as biz links in the sig was indexed by the search engine bots and now appears in the search results as seen below

Image

you see it is # 3 in the results and is the ONLY of the top three that targets "hip hop specific Vocal recording, which will further increase it's click thrus by home recording hip hop artists.. who can download the pdf, (which also has a link in it) hip hop home recording artists are in the target market for online beat sellers, as well as online mixing, & mastering service providers.

That is the motivation and benefit to posting threads/answers that will be informative to those already on the forums but also those NOT yet on the forum, but who may be searching for the information posted.
this brings more traffic in for the forum owner which may also be selling products like (e-books, etc)
as well as bringing targetted traffic to thread poster's business's site by way of the VERY important signature.

This is the reason for posting often and thorough with useful content and signature links while off topic clowning should be kept to a minimum though 2 out of 10 posts off topic is ok and no harm done. Flat out negative posts/threads should be ignored as they offer no benefit to your biz, as well as negative forum members
which a forum usually has an ignore feature that should be used to stay focused on productivity instead of negativity.
This info only applies to forum members who run a biz that is promoted/linked to via the signature links

I just keep seeing "how to" threads with your name next to them and wondered what your motives were.

We're all here for different reasons I guess.

oh yeah i gotcha man, to simplify it

http://www.mpc-forums.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=123634 this how to thread on hip hop home studio vocal recording I wrote ... posted it here within a week ago

two viewrs said thanks for that thread one viewer said that I should "die of aids" for posting it (his reply got deleted) (he is on ignore list too)

Now see in the google search engine results pic above, this morning, that thread with pdf version (linked) is #3 result in google for the search terms and only of the three focused on hip hop vocal recording... well people that search for hip hop vocal recording tips for home studios
are most possible online beat buyers too, so they read the thread, download the pdf, and maybe visit my beat store at some point to buy a beat if one fits their style

helps the forum with content, helps me with search engine results/rankings that lead to sales

win win,, situation multiply thosse search engine results and link backs by X amount (however many topic related posts I make)

that's the reader's digest version of it all.

oh coz your sig myspace link did not work when clicked, maybe left out the url tags

peace

i saw a lot of hate on that other thread and from one perspective i can see why, but i think you make a good point about posting useful content. in the end you're doing something that's mutually-beneficial. i mean, why not take advantage of the webcrawlers if you're also providing good information and helping cats. this isn't a case of selfish prick, it's simply using what works. props for that.

Glad you understand it, and see that is not one sided or selfish and actually is a win win situation. Most would not even bother to explain the whole process about the search engine bots indexing and even give a real result example as in the pic, but I figured it will only help more people understand the process and utilize it in their own way.

(below link) is like a personal itunes store to sell YOUR beats (mp3's)
