2 or 3 very baked minutes, I was stoked on listening to old Dre vinyl on the beats by Dre headphones. Also this thread needs more pics and less "hey what dj mixer is that" commentary IMO

I've lurked on this site for a couple of years now. The thing I always liked best, besides all the useful info, was checking out everyone's studios. Here's what my bandmate called my spaceship. I'll post some more pictures of the surrounding area in the future(which contains turntable, mic booth and monitors). My aim in this setup was to get everything as reachable as possible and also to get the samplers up so my neck could get some relief from the constant bending. I'm really liking the mpc like this, simply for that reason; I can sit back in my chair and make the beat as opposed to hunching over the machine.

Yo, yea that's pretty crazy. What are those shoe laces holdin your samplers upright like that? Seems kinda uncomfortable, if I had all that gear like that, my mixer and all that other stuff would be on top with the samplers layin flat... but id like to see a video of you makin beats that way, Just can't picture how you get it done...?

What frames are you using for those records?

Oh, you noticed them! I acctually got them this week
They are rather expensive (about 30€ each), but the thing about these frames are that they are really easy to just "flip open" and take out the record for playing, the pictre below explains it better:

Those are an old phone line cord cut up holding the samplers up: quite sturdy, though it's ghetto, i know. The point of the setup was actually to combat
the fact that it was uncomfortable working on the mpc with it laying flat. I spend more time on the mpc than any other machine in the setup by far, so it was
crucial making it more comfortable. It may be slightly deceiving since the desktop with the mixer and effects is pulled out; it slides back so I don't have to stretch or anything
to reach the mpc. I just sit in my chair and work with what's in front of me with no craning of the neck. Neck strain was my enemy. I spend too much time on
the mpc. I couldn't go on putting in 3- 5 hrs a day on it with that kind of pain associated with leaning over. The only draw back is holding the arms up, which can be tiresome,
but isn't painful and really not a problem.
I didn't realize I'd get such a "wtf" response; i thought it was an innovative and logical setup. The turntable is right behind the samplers in a little alcove...records by my feet...mic, tapes, controls, effects, samples,
all within an arms reach.

I've stripped the net for some frames before, and definetly came through those ones. I'm not feeling like paying more for the frame than the record though. I'm prolly gonna end up setting 2 shelves on the wall, and just laying my favourite throughout.
