MPC 1000, Roland Fantom x6

Just got my Fantom. Having a hard time getting the settings right so that the mpc controls everything (master?)

Any help would be much appreciated.

Assuming you've already got your midi cable properly connected from the mpc to the x6...

Then on the x6, go to: System > Sync/Tempo > Sync Mode > "slave-midi"

Don't know much about the 1k, but if it's no different than any other mpc, then you'll have to make sure the right midi port is sending midi clock.

That's the best I can tell you my friend.

I tried that, much to no avail......

From what the manual states, there's a "remote" option that allows the x6 to respond to incoming sync commands, ie: start and stop.

Or you might want to check your midi connections and the cables themselves maybe.

All connections are good. I tried that remote option too. Theres literally like 50 settings in the MIDI mode. I tweaked with all of them and could never get it to record thru the mpc (start, stop on the mpc). I just got this keyboard yesterday. My old keyboard worked just fine using the mpc as the master....
