ok, VERY new to this mashine.... arrived today.
i am now used the very comfortable and easy way of chopping in the ASR10... i really like it that way, but ignoring the MPC 12bit sound would be blasphemy ´, so at least i wanna use it for drums
my issue is, with the mpc 1k i never got around recording a loop (for example drum loop) and quickly and effective chop it into different parts (one shots)
becuase of that i used software to record from vinyl and PRE-chop everything there... well that was also a pain tbh.
so my problem is, while chopping a loop down to shots with the ASR is very cool and easy, but how the hell do i do this in the MPC 60 ?
or shouldnt i waste my time and only record one shots into it?
i would need a quick and efficient way to break down loops in parts and storing them as different samples on different pads...
if thats not gonna work i fear i ll really skip the mpc sampler and only sample/chop in the ASR

Sample them into the ASR, resample into the 60. The file systems are in no way compatible without a computer. The ASR has a lot more sound shaping options than the 60, since you can filter, eq, normalize, boost, etc... Resampling from the ASR into the 60 frequently sounds better than straight from a record.
