Hey Everyone. I pretty much just lost every beat I made in the month. Everything was working fine until I tried to add some just blaze samples from my imac onto my hard drive via usb. I also backed up all the data from my hard drive up onto my computer.

Everything was fine then when I turned my mpc back on and tried to load the programs I have been using for everything recently, and it says WRONG FILE!!!!

The samples are able to be loaded one by one, just not the program they belong to. Also the programs say the file size is 0.0 now!!!

I recently saved all sequences and songs, something I never do. Could this play a role? Could it be the drum kit I added? (Even though none of those sounds are included in the missing programs) I guess Its possible I ejected the disk (hard drive) wrong. Would that have done the damage?

Am I screwed? Do I need to recreate the kits with the samples in the right place. Why does this kind of thing always happen on mpcs? What can I do? Please help Im desperate for anything As of now I have lost all motivation because it seems this is eventually inevitable Thamks so much for any suggestions/answers

What OS are you on, I think that has happened to a number of people here already, a saving bug or something to do with the 2500.

Check that your sample filenames are not longer than 16 Characters.

Make sure that all your samples are WAV-format, 16bit, 44,1kHz

when saving. make a new folder for each project and "save entire memory" in the specific folder.
