copying segments of bars

OK, here's a little thing I am trying to figure out. I sometimes like to add
some variations in a track (i used to do this a lot in logic) by cutting the whole track into lets say 1/2 or a quarter of a bar and then paste it to make a bar... I know you can copey a whole track bar by bar, but can you copy half or a quarter of a bar or the last 1/2 a bar and paste it to make up a new bar and interesting rythmic changes....

any help would be appreciated....

Yes. in OS 1.51 this is possible. In OS 1.60 only track per track..
