Alright heres the deal... I found out about this spot... Someone told me it has a lot of Jamaican sh*t there...

Now I don't really know too much about Jamaican music... I'd love to grab some deep, fat Jamaican basslines or subs off of some records... Or some nice Synth loops from a Jamaican record... But like I said I don't really know much about the artists or reecord labels...

Anytips from anyone???

Either artists or record labels or producers... Anything at all I should look for... Help steer me in the right Direction...

This is why we should have a Crate Digging forum...

Also dont forget
Then mean melodica riffs
of Augusts pablo...

this is what madlib likes to sample...

As for jamacian breaks look for when it was made...

Anything 80s and above is made with a drum machine usually unless its live or using a e-drum trap kit...

NEw rootz music I would check out..

Midnite,
Oklah the moc
Desere- Her voice is the best i mean rooted...

Also anything deep that has juinor marvin on the players list he is a bassist

yeah i just copped one of his joints and heard a blatant madlib sample (like madlib just used this sample as an intro to a song), plus a busta rhymes sample from extinction level event i believe. Sh*ts hot.

we do need a digging section

I picked up two Augustus Pablo reprints the other day just to hear his sh*t... He's incredible... I got this one what I'm flip... It's like this real trip-hop rhythm with a deep bass groove... I can't believe how influential his style was... It's crazy...

R.I.P. is right...

could quite possibly be the reincarnate of the melodica in an earlier life- but seriousness aside, pablo is the shizzy
