Hi All, nice forum ya got here.
So got my first MPC today. I'm usually drum machines and analogue synths so this baby is throwing me for six.
MPC 1000. OK when I hit the pads hard, the samples come out nice and loud, but when I record them to a track and replay the sequence, everything is stupid quiet. I've turned the volume up and checked the master volume setting (a moderate -12dB) and I can't find any other reference to volume settings in the manual. I've done a bit of a search in here and come up with nothing.
So yeah, if I'm playing the pads, a hard hit will near deafen me but recording that hard hit and playing back the sequence I'm straining to hear it. Same dealio with the demo song, it's real quiet but if I play the pads along with it they're real loud.
Oh yeah, and it's same through headphones and speakers.
What gives?
