Good point about read vs write.
Regarding the life of a CF, I have not personally trashed one yet. But the 4gig I have now does seem like it may be getting a little weirder after using it for about a year. I save a lot. But I might just be being a worry wart also.
The one that I bought it to replace is completely and utterly t!ts up. It came with the machine and I thought the 500 was bugged to all hell at first. I really almost gave up and threw the whole thing in the garbage before it occurred to me in my frustrated stupor to try a different card.
It was the card.
A was 2 gig sandisk.
Thats also a great point about having more sectors on a bigger card too.
I didn't think of that.
I think my next will be an 8 at the current prices. But if I see something bigger thats a steal, I'll steal it.
