You need to put your MPC into a "USB mode" before transferring data. In this USB mode, the MPC becomes nothing more than a standard CompactFlash card reader. To get the MPC out of the USB mode, you need to disconnect the USB cable.
For this reason, it is much better to pop the CF card out of the MPC and put it in a real CF card reader attached to your computer, edit, then pop the card back into the MPC and load the files.
no man its sooooooo simple! its wicked no messing around just drop your edited wav. files into the folder you want them in. its really easy to rename samples on the comp too.. its so basic even i got it to work first try! haha
The one that comes with the MPC is 32MB, folks here have used up to 2GB with few problems.
Using a CF card is like using any removable disk in the computer (whether or not you swap the cards or use the MPC's USB mode).
Only remove it when its safe:
- card in the MPC: go back to the Main page before removing it;
- card in the computer (or USB): use the proper Eject / Safe Removal procedure.
