Tracking Drums Into Logic from MPC1000?

When you guys track into your DAW do you tend to track out the beat as a whole (one file) or track out the individual sounds (kick snare hats etc) on seperate tracks so that you can process them further?

I tend to track out the beat as a whole...try to balance the volumes of all seperate sounds already on the MPC before doing this though.

When I track out with MPC slaved I lose my MPC swing. Is there a way I can track out without losing the swing?

i track every sound out seperate .. and it sounds the same as on the mpc .. and i use logic . its really easy

When you guys track sequences on your MPC into your DAW do you have issues with audio delay? For example in Ableton Live, if I set it to master midi clock controlling my MPC... and I record a sequence... I have to record it looping three times... so I can find the proper start and stop points of the sequence. If I just let the sequence play out, the audio wont start and end at the exact place it does on the MPC. I set my buffer to 256 (MOTU ULTRALITE), so there is latency, but I thought if the DAW is the master midi clock... it will auto compensate for the latency. Someone mentioned LOGIC, does that work better? I might have to change from live... I just like the way it arranges sequences.

What do you guys do to assemble yours songs. I like to build a bunch of parts on the MPC (drums... and midi control for my keyboards). And then put them together on a digital audio workstation. Is that an acceptable method, or does everyone build the entire thing on the MPC?
