do any of you connect a midi chain through a sound module then daisy chain it to a PC to reason? how well does this work for you?

my music lab has g4s hooked up to a synth and a mixer then through a MIDI quatrro....running reason and digital performer together....there is pretty much nothing that you cannot do...hook it all up with an mpc and the possibilities are inifinit

my setup is a fatar 37 key midi controller keyboard into the mpc midi1 in. electric moFx (which i use as a midi knob controller) into the mpc midi2 in. mpc midi1 out into the computer.

then in reason i can use the mpc pads to make beats using redrum, dr rex players or either of the samplers.

i can use the midi keys to play melodies on the samplers or synths.

i can use the moFx's knobs to freak settings, filters, etc on the synths, samplers, and effects units.

and it works very well for me. very well.

I'm looking into a similar setup but i was wandering: Is it possible to take a sample/sound from your MPC to Reason 2.0? Would this be done through Midi?

For example: lets say i got a few samples off vinyl on my MPC and wanna hook it up with some of Reason's synth sounds. Is this possible? How would you go about it (Midi)? Thanks for any1's help.

save it to floppy or zip as a .wav and load it in redrum, nn19 or nnxt
