I just got an MPC 2000XL. What else do I need to get moving? I'm talking in terms of what do I connect to the machine to upload sounds to sample. I need the KINDERGARTEN VERSION..you know....the old "First you get an MPC 2000XL, then you connect a......" You get the picture? I'm a local DJ and want to incorporate it into my sets. Can anybody help me get started?

Appreciate the help. But the tutorial on beatmaking for the 2000XL is far easier to understand than the original user manual. That and my younger brother. He got me jumping over the phone in about 5 minutes. The machine is a little easier than it seems.

It's alot easier than it seems, it's a good machine too. Congrats, good luck and don't sleep on the manual. 8)

ALL of your machines functions are in there, get to know it's capabilities and limitations, use your imagination in combination
with those functions to get what you want out of your machine.

Yeah that diaphragm is IMPORTANT in stopping the spread of little gentlemens
from becoming wack and uninformed "producers".
