Preview a sample while browsing using a pad?

Does 2.0 add the ability to preview a sample while browsing using a pad? The 1k did this and was a feature I really loved. I don't want to use the "f" key to press play. I just want to be able to hit a pad (it's much faster for me). I tried this on a 5k yesterday with the original os and this did not work.

Easy: Immediate triggering of samples when browsing is MUCH easier in tandem with the jogwheel than that extra second or 2 it takes to quickload and hold down that little button all the time. Not to mention if the sample is long enough (or a CD track) letting go of F5 won't stop anything (but i'll assume only MY mpc does this for sake of argument).


don't forget this thing can browse DVD's and compactflash cards so its safe to say when dealing with GIGS of samples in browsing, F5 can get pretty uncomfortable. Thought it was just me until this thread.

So... You can or cannot preview audio files while browsing with the 5k, F button or otherwise???

Mine gets here Tuesday 4-27. Had a 1k and really liked the F button and dont have a problem with that, just want to know.
I think it would be rather ridiculous to not be able to preview...

of COURSE you can preview with the F button. Some (as well as i) are saying browsing and using the PAD to preview would be a much easier thing.
