REASON & MPC TUTORIAL VIDEO!

i am having this same exact problem..the guy who wrote this said he figured out the issue but hasnt been on here since 2007!!! i know it has sumthing to do with the mpc but im sure exactly what it is..i make i change the midi track from 1C to 2C ect. but still trigger both sounds when i got to the next track...if any has the answer please let me knowwww! lol

In Reason's sequencer make sure that NONE of the tracks are highlighted as receiving midi. I'm using Reason 4 so might be slightly different, but when I create a new instrument it automatically creates a track in the sequencer set to receive midi (on all channels I think). Therefore when you hit your pads on the mpc/keyboard it triggers whatever track is highlighted in Reason's sequencer as well as the chanel that the midi should be triggering.

I've watched the video tutorial and several others. But I still can't get this to work!
I'm using OS 10.5 on my MacBook and JJ OS XL on my 2500, if that helps.

For MIDI communication, I bought a Swissonic 1x1 MIDI-USB interface:

SWISSONIC MIDI-USB 1X1 - Svensk International Cyberstore

The interface shows up in Reason. That's the only proof that the interface is working. So that may be the problem.. I saw that people are having trouble with the same interface:

KVR: Swissonic midi-usb 1x1

I haven't installed any drivers since none came with it on CD, and I couldn't find any using Google. According to Thomann.de, it's "Plug & Play". However, on the back of the box it says "No MIDI signal should be sent through the MIDI-USB 1x1 until installation is complete"..

I had the interface out to the MP out, and vice versa. Instead of the other way around. Noob mistake!

I have a little problem. I can trigger/play reason on the mpc through the pads, and record it, but when I try to do the same with the keyboard, it doesnt record to the MPC.

I have midi cable keyboard out to mpc in ( 4 x midi cable )

Axiom 49 : Midi out ----> Mpc 1000 : midi in 1.

Interface : Midi out ----> Mpc 1000 : midi in 2.

Mpc 1000 : Midi out B ---> Axiom 49 : midi in

Mpc 1000 : Midi out A ---> interface : midi in


When i try to record midi from mpc to reason it doesnt record any notes only blank line.

Help!!

reason can only be used as soundmodule , you can not use reason to record the sequences you've made in the mpc

i m using reason & record so i can record my mpc.
My only problem is midi... I can record it to my mpc, but cant record it back to reason/ record.

Problem solved

everything i have is setup correct. i can record in channel 1a but when i try to move to channel 2a nada? what am i doing wrong. i always make sure i connect the advance midi channels! Program is off/ and its Set to MIDI??? Please help..

Please let me know how this works out for you. I am seriously thinking of purchasing Record/Reason. I want to record all of the midi onto my mpc1000 and track everything in Record.

I ran into a small Prob. Everything is working correct i can record into the mpc and such reason as a sound mod using. but the 1st note i play on the midi controller is always late and never where it should be but the rest are on point? even with quantize on what am i doing wrong? im using a Tascam Us144 Soundcard..

FIXED.... Stupid Mistake!
