i know you guys see these all the time, but here i go. i have my mpc synched with my es. first of all every thing i play on the motif makes the sounds come out of the mpc and vice versa, i dont want that. im doing/saving every thing thru the mpc, but when i shut down and power every thing back up the motif sounds aren't the same do i need to save on the es too.

honestly i wanna know which is the best to have as a center peice. and how to set them up properly and should i save everything to my mpc's zip drive or my es zip drive or both.
i thought it was as simple as going to track 1 on the mpc making a beat. then going to the motif and adding stuff and so forth but,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

go to track 1 on the mp.......do what you do........
now go to track 2 on the mp, move the cursor to program, select your instrument and add what you want from the Motif........
now go to track 3 on the mp, move the cursor to program, select your instrument and add what you want from the Motif........

Now save on the mp....make sure you name it and whatnot.......
turn your machine off......
turn it back on.......
load up what you just saved.........
you should find it all in tack.........

Holla back if you incur any more problems
