Latency Prob With MPC1000 and Reason 4.0

Whats up Fellas, Ive been reading around on the forums and i had no luck. I just started incorporating reason 4 with the MPC1000. everythings fine no hook up questions. the thing is when i go to record the 1st chord or note into the mpc its always late. i tried adjusting the ASIO setting in Reason, I set quantize on and it still does this. altho every other note is dead on? what am i doing wrong. Im using a PC and a Tascam US-144 Soundcard ie GARBAGE!

Which sequencer are you recording into?

How many bars of pre-roll are you using?

i had the interface in reason set to another soundcard. I Was still using my tascam i guess i didnt have the ASIO setings correct... Thanks Again!

i'm having the same issue as wes p but can't seem to find a way to fix it.

using reason 4 and 1000, set up exactly as shown in sparqs youtube vids. Macbook pro, mbox 2.

as far as i can see, everything should be working fine. The external control in reason is set to Mbox 2, the clock is synced, i've checked in step edit on the mpc and all the midi notes are hitting at the right time, it's just the triggering of the sound is delayed about a quarter of a second.

When I record the notes in (it's just an additional snare hit), the sound hits at the right time, but once it loops and starts playing the recorded events, the delay comes in. I've already recorded bassline and chords perfectly, it's just now decided to start this.

I'm sure this is some minor thing i've overlooked but i can't figure it out. Any help is much appreciated.

If there is only the latency after Reason loops...this is definitely strange behavior. Doesn't sound like a latency to me.
