I got a Blue 1000 with a cracked screen that has been out of commission for over a year now. Was about to purchase a replacement screen but before i made the purchase, i decided to plug the machine up and make sure there arent any other issues. The screen is cracked badly on the left side and about 1/4 of the screen is still visible. heres my problem.... i can use the arrows to navigate to different fields, but when i turn the data wheel the values do not change. what im wondering is A) is there something wrong with the data wheel also or B) since the screen is cracked, will the values not change anyway when i use the data wheel.... Any tech heads that might have any knowledge/advice on this, id appreciate any input. thanks

It could be since the screen is cracked the values the data knob would change do not show. I saw a post from a guy selling a screen for $30. That would be a good way to fix the screen, then determine if anything else is damaged. Not only would that be inexpensive, but it would add more value should you sell it.
