Mackie and KRK good enough to get started?

I'm starting out, and I need to finish building my studio... I have an MPC1000 and a Motif Rack... I need a mixer, and studio monitors... I was looking at the KRK RP5's or RP6's for studio monitors. I was looking at the Mackie 1202 for the mixer... Are these good enough to get started?

What he said! Man I remember starting out with a SP 1200 hooked up to a radio shack realistic mixer, and old ass techniques stereo system with the 15 inch woofers. LOL 1987 baby.

HAHA, yeah I remember that one. Radioshack was the spot back in the days. lol I remember the on the mixers would have static in them like a month after use. LMAO..
