Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000

Hey, I just had the idea to start a thread about the filters of the MPC 4000.

I've made a few searches on the forums but haven't found a lot of information about them so far.

I'd like to know some creative ways you guys use them, or any knowledgeable information about them.

Thanks

Hey Dryad,

None at all ;) When I created my profile on here, I just wanted a nickname fast. I was new to the mpc world, so
I don't know It just came to me like that, meaning I was new to the mpc ;)

Yeah you can add some LF to sounds with the filters pretty easily! I'm having some troubles too with the higher frequencies part. It sounds ''sibilant'' when you try to boost the HF.

The digital eq seems to work better for that, but you need to destructively apply it in the sample edit page!

I have a question about the filters on the mpc4000, Does the value of the filter parameter go from

Frequency 1-100
resonance 1-16 or is it 1-100 like the new mpcs?

BTW i checked the manual, it doesnt go over the min and max values. Thanks
