A friend of mine is bugging me about "Live Recording" He keeps asking if I know how to record on the MPC doing "Live Recording" I dont think this is a feature but its probably a widely used term in the MPC world, what exactly is Live Recording is that me pressing record and constructing a beat live without looping and making a pattern or is it playing along lets say at a show and having my samples and drums on one bank and switching back and forth live while playing the beat live while recording? Im not too sure, if someone could clarify it would be appreciated

Tell your friend to go and buy a hardware track machine.
They are designed for time based recording, like a tape deck, reel to reel.

MPC's are designed for dynamic recording.
