Floppy drive for 2000 classic

Hey, I live in the UK, got a 2000 classic with a duff floppy drive. I saw them on mpcstuff.com but shipping and tax etc will make it over £100!! I think the drive is just a old MD1 floppy drive but I cant find anywhere in the UK that selle them. Any help appreciated as I am desperate to get on the beast again!

actually, i also need the start up disc as my old one's gone missing ...........

ok, so has anyone ever bought an item from the states and had to pay vat or tax when the parcel arrives at your door? Im just wondering how much im gonna have to fork out? I know the drive is $40 but then there's an added tax or something?

please help as i am desperate to use the mpc! Can i just use a normal "new" floppy disk drive or does it have to be the MD1??
