Flash ROM (?) updated itself, MPC won't go past start up

So I was making beats as usual and suddenly I got a message about "Flash ROM doing something" and a 0-100% flash update, after which the MPC just froze, started making metallic sounds and just playing stuff all over the place. I switched my 2000xl off and on again, and I get the "insert MPC2000xl disk" message. With the CF card inside, it said something about "generic IDE card" (?). Now I don't think I have a floppy drive anywhere, so am I shit out of luck? Any ideas? Thanks dudes.

I have CF card that was (or still is?) infected with a virus / spyware or some shit, and that CF card was inside the MPC when the whole thing went down - is it possible, even in theory, that it could be behind this?

Anyway, should I just jump the gun and hunt down a floppy drive from somewhere and put the 1.14 OS on it? I searched high and low for this "insert mpc 2000 xl disk" thing, but the results were very few. I'd appreciate any concrete information on this - thanks...

if youve got access to a scsi cdrom you could burn the os to a cd and flash it from there, ive done that befroe so its confirmed to work

Nevermind, I finally got 1.20 working from the CF card.
