Q: How can I change the swing and shift timing in real-time while recording?
A: In MAIN screen Press [T.C.]. In the next screen press [Q-LINK] and assign 'Swing' and / or 'Shift' to the Q-Link Sliders


Is this possible on mpc 1000 2xl co swhen i hit tc i dont see an option to use q sliders .

this is confusing. yes, you can assign swing and shift to the qlinks but it is NOT for realtime use. you can't have the sequencer running and hear it change on any version

Go to the Gridscreen. The sliders there are assigned to swing/timeshift per default.

nym posted about this a while back. i'll check out the gridscreen.

as i remember it -- assign q-link to swing. hold down note repeat and a pad while moving the slider. when you hear/find the right swing feel, leave it at that setting and then record your performance.
