Most mpc users seem to be into producing hip hop but
I recently bought an MPC 1000 to assist in making my house music sound a little fresher. Anyway after reading that two of my favorite producers (Kenny Dope and DJ Gregory) use MPC's I feel like great about my purchase!

My MPC 3000, it’s an Akai sampler. Akai has been doing a sampler for years and years called MPC. The first version was MPC 60 then MPC 2000 and now there’s going to be a new one called MPC 1000. Everybody who’s doing Hip RNB house music, quite a lot of producers use MPC 3000. This is the machine I use to do my drum programming and it’s linked to my computer so when I’m playing my track on the computer the sampler is in sync as well. I think the best guy who’s been using the MPC for ten years, ever if it was not the MPC but some other kind of tapping drum machine is Kenny Dope. You can tell when you hear the drum the way it swings, that it’s not playing in a computer sequencer but more in an MPC. "
