hi peeps!

i hope you can help me, the stereo output of my mpc seems to have a defective contact or something..
the most time only one of the two outputchannels is working.. but when i turn the gain up and down sometimes both channels are working..
and so my question is, what would you do? would it be a good idea to buy a new stereo output and are stereo outputs for the mpc2000 still available? i also have a mpc500 but i really dont want to miss my 2000 :-)
sorry for my bad english but i hope some of you can help me!

greets,

man that sucks it seems to be happening with my dj mixer where i have to adjust the volume knob up and down for it to work. but what i would try first i spraying some compressed air duster and trying to remove any dust or dirt that can be causing this. second open up the machine and check for any loose cables and hit it up with some more compressed air and see what happens hope it helps!

does anybody know if the mpc2000 stereo outputs a still available?

Perhaps one of the solder joints became cracked. Have you tried reflowing the connector's solder joints to see if it fixes the problem?

If it's only the connector that's bad, then you can find an equivalent replacement from an electronics distributor.

If the problem exists beyond the connector, you may be able to find a replacement PCB from a Akai service place. Chances are it's probably not a new board, but a working one pulled from a machine.
