CANNOT SAVE SOUNDS CF ultra compact flash 2 gb sandisk brand

Yall listen,

I am using CF ultra flash compact flash 2 gb sandisk brand and I can save anything except for wavs or sounds --I get directory error everytime I try and save all memory or just a program with sounds. I am on a brand american music supply mpc 1000

Please help.

I AM READING everything here and contacted JJOS already- -teh yare no help..I have formatted all the cards over after installing NEW os1 and am about to freak the ********************* OUT

Do you have the free version of jj? Isn't it not supposed to save unless you buy it or something?
paid for the version i have os1 4.99
Did you try another card? Wait, SD card, I thought the native card for 1k's were Compact Flash cards.

I bought 4 SANDISK ultra cf cards lawst week and used them all to load my sounds and then reformatted all them after I realised I could nto save


Thing is JJ says my card slot could be damaged although I can load but not save. Its a brand new 1000--been very gentle with insertions-- I load all the time
One more thing thats weird--I cannot save to the orig cf card the mp came with you know the 128 cf card

ONLY ERROR I GET IS WHEN I TRTY AND SAVE ANY SOUNDS--
I DO NOT GET error when sabving midi

Wouldnt this mean that the card slot isnt broken since i can save midi and all sequences but not sounds....

One thing i am thinking is i need to shuit off and do the erase thing even though I thought I did that already

And spamming the forums 4 times in a row with this is not going to help either

Bro, I had the same problemwith a 2g SD flash, I upgraded to 4g SD flash, and it seems to have done the trick


My warning error when trying to save was

FILE ALREADY EXISTS

Get a 4g cf card, Should sort it out for you

Ok thanks for the info--I think its fixed cuz I shut off and held erase and window and works now.

So if anyone has the same issue, hopefully this will help you
