storing floppys to the MAC via USB Floppy?

So your using this to back up the contents of the MPC60 disks right? I've been thinking about using this approach to backup the contents of my 60 disks. So would I be able to take an empty MPC formatted disk and just fill it with .SND samples from my macs hard drive without having any issues? Or is it just allowing you to back up complete image files of each disk?

yes i think that is no problem as double clicking the Floppy Icon on the Desktop opens it as Folder and shows all files SEQ`s SND`s etc

but i am not sure if you will have any kind of Pad assignment when you just fill up a Disk with SND`s from there

but yes, you can copy from and to the disk

sounds good. I would just like to backup my sounds in case a floppy fails, but being able to drop some sounds on a disk and then quickly creating program on the MPC seems like an easy approach to sample management. And a whole lot cheaper than SCSI.

if iwould name my samples that would make sense for me aswell.... but i am too lazy to do that/takes too long

uhm.. another question

do you maybe have your old OS 2.12 chips still? i have some issue with my midi enviorment setup and the disk i made on 2.12 worked but i killed it accidently... and killed one of the 2.12 chips aswell
