my mpc keeps turning off by itself: HELP!

so my mpc turns off by itself however the screen is still lit. whats wrong with it? ill be workin on it for a bout 5-10 min and out of nowhere it just stops...ever since i installed jj os, ive been having alot of problems..idk if its that but sure seems like it. does or did this happen to anyone else? please help

The JJ site has instructions on what to do after installing to prevent these problems. Did you follow them?

oh yeah i did...i even re-installed it, factory reset..anything i could think of and it still does it

its not a short in your power source is it?

try plugging it in elsewhere and see if it still happens.

well if the screen is still lit, something tells me it's not turning off, but it's actually just you adjusting the contrast setting unknowingly.

I had a similar problem and it drove me crazy....

At first i thought it was my 128mb ram going on me, so i took it out and it still happened.

Then i put in a different CF Card and it was fine, So it ended up being my CF Card

1. I saved my data to my computer in a folder on my desktop

2. Re-formated my CF Card

3. Copied the old data on my computer back to the mem card and i was good.
