MPC 1000 jjos2 triggered by rm1x?

I'm working on a project with a friend and our goal is to trigger the mpc with the rm1x. We've been able to get the mpc to trigger the program that is currently the focus, but is there a way to for example have midi track 1 trigger program 1, midi track 2 trigger program 2, etc

On the rm1x, set each patch/instrument with it's own midi channel.

MPC midi track 1, device 001 for Rm1x midi channel 1.
MPC midi track 2, device 002 for Rm1x midi channel 2.
MPC midi track 3, device 003 for Rm1x midi channel 3.
MPC midi track 4, device 004 for Rm1x midi channel 4.

..maybe

The MPC1k is not multi-timbral... so no, you can only control the current track.

I guess the 2000xl and 4000 are the only multi timbral mpc's
