insert disk mpc2000xl ¿??¿¿?

hello
when i put on my mpc 2000xl the message "insert disk mpc2000xl" appears in the screen , why appears it ¿?
and what can i do to repair it?

Why did you buy the MPC? Did you do any research on it before you bought it? What is up with you people buying stuff and not knowing what it is used for.

cause i make music and i like how work it , when i bough it i was working with it and it was ok and i have been working with the mpc2000xl for a long time and it was ok i don`t know whats wrong with it now

Not a 100% sure , but it sounds like you need to load the O.S. from floppy disk again.
And then if that works, if i remember correctly, there's a big chance you need to save the O.S.
to the internal memory again.

thats what it sounds like to me .

if you been usnig it for a long time you can't figure this one out? what have you done different then the past,in loading?

This messge appears when i start the mpc2000xl DIRECTLY!!!

have you tried to reinstall the OS? sounds likek it's not stored internally.

no i don`t, cause i don`t have the OS.where can i donwload it?¿

do you have a blank disc you can try to fomat maybe .sounds like its reading but doesnt know the file , but the machine will tell yuo that too , "wrong file error"

yeah then it soudns like it's ascreen problem deffinetly.have you tried to adjust the contrast on it ?
