just some quick help....please!

so i got the 1000 and im so GLAD i got this instead of the 2000xl...i bring it places and get samples chopped nice n quick...but anyway..im doin pretty well on my own as this is the first time ive ever really used the mpc...im sure these questions have already been asked but...id like to record my self muting tracks as its playing in song mode....is this possible? also the other thing i wanted to do was record a sequence the whole length of the rest of my arrangement while listening to it..for example like if i wanted to recordmyself plain hats the whole time the beat is playin...is this possible? sorry if these are basic questions im just not seeing much about this and i cant figure it out..thanx vets...PEACE

to record with mute tracks i think u need the jj os 1, u cant do it with the akai OS. also overdub + play for ur 2nd question. im a newbie with the mpc as well but ive done some reading, hopefully this will be of help and im sure someone will correct me if i mwrong. if nething, bump
