USING sample cds in MPC 1000

Hello,

i bought a second computer from a friend and in it there are bunches of sampel cds for EAST WEST sound library. I just cannot figure out how to use the library in the MPC.. You know, the library has various articulations for say the violin or horn sections. Does anyone have any insight or a easy way of utilizing the sounds correctly. Or is there somethign I need to buy in order to get full playability out of the samples. I dont know how to arrange them on the pads

What format are the samples in?

Are they one-shots, loops or both?

Do you have the actaul CD's or just the files on HD?

Come on man...

Sorry--they are in wav format but he gave me the cds for the wavs in the computer so I also have in akai format..
