Double tap for MPC 2000xl

How can i fix my double tap feature. Everytime i wanna do more complicated drum patterns with the drum sequences tighter together it doesn`t do it and it sounds wack. HELP

What is the double tap feature? You mean note repeat?

Yes. It`s like i can`t do more tightly sequenced drum patterns bruh. How do i fix that

Quantize...1/16(3) is pretty much the norm, I like to use the 1/8(3) setting though..but if I were you, I wouldn't even bother with the note repeat, just play that ish out on the pads and experiment with different quantize settings, I personally would feel like I'm not doing anything at all by using the note repeat for drums. And also, for note repeat to work quantize/t.c. must be on
