Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Hello.

So i finally managed to replace the old broken SCSI CD-Rom with a working one but as with the old CD-ROM the MPC always tells me 'SCSI Not Ready!' when trying to load a program from CD-R. I am not sure about the jumpers on the back of the CD-Rom (they have different names than on the old one) so is there anyone who can help me out? Is it possible that the SCSI-Card is not sitting right in its socket? Looking forward to your answers. Until soon.

Regards.

Thank you. I didnt just burn WAVs on a CDR. I was given a program done with the MPC Editor by a friend. Parts of this program work when transferred to a Floppy Disk (its way too large for one Floppy  ). So what now? I feel kinda 'helpless' now. Haha.

Thanks for all input given.

Hey.

Thank you for your replies. Seems like i just burnt an ISO CD-R. How can i write an AKAI Image Disc? The info i got on the web about this confused me more than it helped. Haha.

With the MPC came a JAZ-Drive so i assume that the SCSI-Port is working. Unfortunately the guy who sold the MPC forgot to inlcude the JAZs psu. Haha. He will be sending it someday soon.

Until soon.
