where can i buy an external compact flash card reader

I want it for my 2000 classic I already have the scsi installed and a cable i only need the reader and everywhere wants to sell me the kit the reader and the cable i just dont need all of that. any advice would be great.

Check on eBay, craigslist or SCSIforSamplers website.
About 4-5 years ago I bought my 3 card readers for $20-$35 a piece on eBay. Now they are going for $200-$250.

yeah i know i dont get it its just the scsi ones that i see are expensive. i wish they made a usb to scsi connection i would buy and just use that

now its like $100 for the zip drive itself lol

i dont think so. i just got two parallel (scsi) and one usb zip drive along with about 20 disks for $30 just recently. one of the drives didn't work but the usb zip is a badass time saver. would use cf reader, but been with zip since the start...

i say check out scsiforsamplers.com
thats where i got my internal zip with instructions for a pretty good price.

cool i may check them out later but i decided to go with zip for now. i got a scsi zip drive on ebay for $15. i learned that cats trying to sell them from places that sell mpc parts want crazy amounts of money for them but ebay and stuff will sell them for pretty cheap

Your Zip drive must have been one of the Zip + (plus) drives. I've heard those don't work well with most music gear because of being both parallel and SCSI circuits.

I was very pleased with MPC Stuff dot com
bought my SCSCI CF drive from them and they were very helpful
with my questions about Daisey chaining even though there suggestions did not work
and I figured it out myself
I have been very happy with my cf drive
If you get one and run into any problems with chaining pm me
I will tell you what to do
