mpc turn on and off

yo just removed my note variation fader and after that i tried to turn on my mpc and it always goes on and off what could be the problem?

just the plastic fader itself? Did you open the MPC for anything? is it possible that you loosened a connection?

yes sure, i opened the mpc and desoldered the old fader because its broken next week im gettin a new one. and afterwords when i turned on the mpc its starting to flicker. what could that be? i just desold the fader didn't touch anything..what do u mean with loosened a connection? u mean cables loosened?

i checked every cable / connection inside the mp but they all good! damn thats turns me off lol i hope u can help me bro

check for loose or bad solder connections near where you were working. look for cold solder points. Thats my biggest fear when working inside these older machines. Good luck

sometimes you can smell it. Also too much solder, in which case you could use a solder sucker and re solder the connection. I wouldnt go to crazy. I would also check with a voltage meter but that would also require the schemetics. Sounds like your already doing it, but try and follow the connection and signal flow and see what it could be. We got some prety knowledgeable heads around here that can probally help you further. Wish i could be more help.

I changed out my NV slider last week and i had a problem almost like yours . when i tried to turn the unit on all i got was my screen flashing on and off !!! what i had to do was go back in desolder and start over because some of the solder spilled over to another connection . I would guess thats what happen to you also the solder ran over to another connection , after i got that right my unit worked fine so check that out i would bet that's what it is .

all types of buggy sh*t could happen as a result of this.
