problem on powering the 3000

Hi guys

I have a problem with my 3000, It was on working perfectly when suddently the screen was black and all the leds on with all buttons not working. When I switch it on/off now it's still the same the screen is black and all the leds are lignt on and the buttons are not working.
Is someone has an idea of what's wrong?

Open up the MPC and make sure that all the ribbon cables are secure....

Hi yes i ve checked that all the ribbons are correctly attached

Symptom as described by you in your initial thread post points to a faulty power supply.

Most likely a failed main 5V regulator on the secondary power supply board.

A common failure area.

Take to a technician for repair.

This happened to me with mine once. I took it to a local tech shop at the time http://www.aztechelectronics.com/
The tech there had never worked on an MPC before but was able to open it up and identify the problem and fix the power supply for a fair price and I was back in biz!

I ve changed all the buttons on my 3K, and it was a pretty nice job done by them.
