Software that best emulates mpc?

Yeah, I even noticed in there update version 1.2 they just now added "one Shot" to the sample mode.
If they didn't have that from the gate it's kinda hard to take them seriously...

Hi IM not entirely sure but it has a midi out.
I was using the unit tonight and I would give it a miss if anyone is thinking about buying it.
It does what all software seems to do and has a fit for no clear reason.
I was jamming with some chops and dropping in and out of record then it just started skipping off time and not triggering properly totally killed my flow.
If people want MPC then just buy an MPC.
Which is what IM going to do.
Yeah the Maschine has all kinds of bells and whistles and promise of some nice updates but at the end of the day it runs on a computer.
Naturally you can troubleshoot and find out why the software is playing up ect and sort the system out ect ect but then why should I IT trouble shoot when all I want to do is write music.
The biggest flaw I found out was it don't have a sample monitor so you cant hear what you are about to sample!!
This will be updated in the next update but WTF!
How can they compare it to an MPC without a basic sample monitor.
There is a work around which saved the unit from Ebay but nah its not for me.

The only thing i don't like about maschine is that it is still computer base. the last thing i want to do after using a computer at work is use a computer to make beats at home when i trying to relax. I still use computer DAWs and recycle but the MPC is more fun for my little hobby.

i demoed the RS-16X and its dead easy to use... just like an mpc, seriously... just like what was posted above, it doesn't have sampling, chopping, LPF, HPF... but i did all that with apple soundtrack, sampled and chopped, then exported each uncompressed chops into a folder, drag it into the rs-16x and laid the chops onto the virtual pads... hopefully the developer can do more with this and expand, a bit buggy at times...i don't know if he well... but itz a dope program and if you have a macbook, mos def something worth checking out...

i think fxpansion guru is the best emulation of an mpc on the mac or PC

Yup. No need to ditch hardware for software-only solutions when you've got Maschine.

Any MPC with Maschine, Motu BPM or Guru = Unstoppable.

Virtual Beat Thang is good, but buggy and the fact you cant run it as a VSTi/RTAS = Fail


If only Akai had an MPC VSti that syncs up with their MPC range?

Poise is the bomb but it's not a stand alone, it's a VST...

Motu BPM or Guru can't really be compared to MPC or Maschine because they're software-only. No amount of generic midi controller attached to a software-only setup is going to give you the hardware-style workflow you get from MPC or Maschine.

fxpansion's guru is cheaper than maschine and gets the job done! carrying just the laptop is easier and lighter than carrying a control surface cables and laptop. It can get the job done but it certainly won't be as fun or efficient as Maschine or MPC.

I like Maschine, but my drums sound soft when using it..it just doesn't hit as hard as an MPC.
