Is'nt Saint Joe like a Beat Thang spokesperson, his opinions (however personal the may be) is abit biased towards the beat kangz i think.

Seem like he thought they were nice guys, took him out to dinner etc. Well that's not really the image we have gotten from the beat kangz in this thread. Maybe if they had been more humble people would'nt be hating that much.

far as i know joe dont work for them dude heard about the product thought it was dope so he set up an info site as a fan.

but if u check the sounds and gear sight u''ll see that dude review products from all different companies and the assessments are very balanced and comprehensive.

like alot of peeps checked his review of ni maschine so if his view was accurate on everything else why do u now think he is not accurate in his assessment of the beat thang?

i guess i mainly hate BK's marketing tactics, earn money promoting the beat thang.

But i also think i see the beat thang as a symbol for everything that's wrong with the music industry today. Seems like companys are comming out with products just to justify their own existance, the akai i-phone synth-app, who needs that, really?

Companies, and BK in particular always seem to focus on how much you need their new fresh product and how much it will increase your workflow. There are maybe 50 similar products to the beat thang, and maybe 100 products similar to the virtual. If you can't make good music with already exisiting products the gear ain't the problem. Workflow is increased by sticking with a piece of gear and learning it well enough to use it while you sleep. If your workflow is to slow on a mpc, then you're just lazy.

This is common knowledge to must people on this forum i guees, but it's sad to see people starting up with music thinking they have to put down money on grillz to make decent stuff. Gear wasn't marketed this aggresive earlier, it was more of a word-of-mouth type of thing.

I'll hold my "this is going to change everything" comments until i see a piece of gear that's truly innovative.

The only product I can think of that's similar to the beat thang in SPECS is the mpc 500 and maschine. but maschine is not standalone and mpc 500 doesnt have as much features as BT, though it still gets the job done. im not including the mpc 5000 or 4000 because they don't run on batteries and are prolly three times more in weight and dimensions compared to the beat thang.

Also, I dont understand whats wrong with beat kangz paying people to promote BT. It's not like dudes are running up in peoples houses forcing you to buy units. And, which company in the world DOESN'T pay to market and promote it's products?
